SUBMISSIONS TO THE WEB SITE
GSBS welcomes comments and postings on the website. Unfortunately, it is our policy not to accept or consider creative ideas, suggestions, or materials other than those specifically requested. We hope you will understand that it is the intent of this policy to avoid the possibility of future misunderstandings when projects developed by in-house staff or by other professionally related partners might seem to others to be similar to their own creative work. GIRLSTUFF BOYSTUFF ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY

Decode Entertainment. ("DECODE"), producer of GirlStuffBoystuff.com ("GSBS") and its related sites, believes GSBS is the place in cyberspace where fans of GirlStuff Boystuff can come to play and have fun. It is important for fans of all ages, to safeguard their privacy on the Web. Our information collection practices are described below. Kids should check with their parents before entering ANY information on any website, and parents should discuss Internet safety with their kids.
WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED? - This website collects the minimum amount of information from our visitors to properly function. Generally, the site limits its collection of information to what is known as non-personally identifiable information (i.e. first name, and password and country of origin). This information is collected so fans can participate in activities without giving out unnecessary personal information.
GSBS will ONLY collect personally identifying information in the event of: 1) contest registration, 2) subscription registration for web pages and sections of GSBS that require subscription, and (3) for the purpose of e-commerce & online transactions. In addition, registration is required and information is collected in certain portions of sites in which guests provide content submissions and suggestions or participate in interactive online activities such as community postings, chat forums and areas that involve the submission of material by visitors to GSBS.
GSBS will only use such information to fulfill prizes, to allow visitors to subscribe to online magazines as requested, to limit postings of obscene and unacceptable commentary on the site, and to gather information that is volunteered by our visitor for the purpose of promotion including (but not limited to) e-mailing newsletters to participants who so desire to receive the electronic publication and to fulfill transactions. Decode does not currently collect or archive any/all personal information sent to us on an individual basis. All information is collected and analyzed solely on an aggregated basis. COOKIES AND LOG DATA - Cookies are information files that your web browser places on your computer when you visit a website. GSBS is able to access only the cookies that it sets on your computer and we are only able to determine the type of computer operating system and browser that you and other visitors are using. GSBS collects this information in the aggregate in order to improve access to our content based on our visitors' browsers and operating system types to make our content available to as many fans as possible. Log data collected on web servers both within Decode's control and under the confidential control of Decode Entertainment's third party ad service provider supplies Decode with aggregate information about the number of visits to different pages on our site. Links to Other Sites
Although there are very few links outside of the GSBS site, users should be aware that when you are on GSBS you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control. There are links that take visitors outside our service. For example, If a visitor were to click on the Bell New Media Logo, it may take the visitor away from the domain: www.girlstuffboystuff.com and transfer you to the web site for Bell New Media. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, or otherwise collect data or solicit personal information. Always be aware of where you end up.

Please be aware that when you offer personal information online - for example, through a Posting board - that information can be collected and used by organizations and people without your knowledge. We've have put a great deal of effort to produce content that is fun for teens and tweens.

GSBS will not be misusing any information you and your child submit. We will NOT sell any personally identifiable information to third party vendors.

Any section of the site that involves uploading or receiving information, making online transactions or requires personally identifiable information will follow the laws set out by the Canadian Government. Users under thirteen wishing to send and receive personally identifiable information will need to have their guardian send in an e-mail response indicating permission to the GSBS website. The under 13 users will not be able to participate in these activities without parental consent.
At any time parents may request that your child's ability to submit and receive material from GSBS or participate be disallowed by sending an e-mail to webmaster
